Congratulations to Kirby Fowler, who was honored with induction into the HCRHS Hall of Fame at a dinner March 27, 2010.  The Hall of Fame was created in 2009 with initial inductees Mike Vecchio (1964), Danny Federici (1967) and Tom Bill (1986).  Joining Kirby in the 2010 induction class were Lt. Col. USAF. Lancing (Lance) Pilch (1989), former HC wrestling coach and athletic director Russ Reigel, and Hunterdon Central Board of Education member Joan Wolsifier and her late husband, former Hunterdon Central Superintendent Fred Wolsifier.  Here is an excerpt from the HCRHS Foundation's web-site.

  J. Kirby Fowler is the President of Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, Inc. where he is credited with being a driving force behind the successful redevelopment of Baltimore’s long-struggling west side. As CEO, he is responsible for creating a downtown area that is both conducive to residential living and commercial activity. With Fowler at the helm, Baltimore’s west side is outperforming the rest of downtown Baltimore – even the waterfront – on jobs and other measures of economic vitality.

Jim Agresti Pens a New Book

Congratulations are also in order for Jim Agresti on the publication his new book.  From Documentary Press, Rational Conclusions is a work that has been years in the making.  It was released in December 2009. Below is an excerpt from the book's website www.rationalconclusions.com.

Rational Conclusions draws upon the study of numerous academic disciplines - ranging from history, archaeology, and physics to genetics, microbiology, and more - to compellingly and meticulously demonstrate the truthfulness of the Bible.  Although academic in nature, Rational Conclusions can be readily understood by readers with diverse levels of education. Audiences from high school students to postgraduate scholars will find this book stimulating, informative, and perhaps surprising as hundreds of academic source materials reveal strong evidence for the Bible’s reliability.
